ABOUT ME
Adalynne 'Ady' Masoud was born and raised in Tampa, FL, and started dancing at the age of 2. Ady is a recent graduate from Pace University with a BFA in Commercial Dance. There, Ady trained in all styles such as: Ballet, Theater (and Fosse), Jazz, Modern (Horton, Graham, and Taylor), Hip Hop (House, Popping, Vogue, and Breaking), Tap, Contemporary, Ballroom, and Aerial Arts (with skills on Hammock, Lyra, and Trapeze). Ady also trained in Acting and Voice. Ady has had the opportunity to work closely with numerous choreographers such as Al Blackstone, Jillian Meyers, Lauren Gaul, Christian Denice, Scott Hislop, Dominic Chaiduang, Scott Jovovich, Steven Blandino, Katie Walker, and Rachel Leigh Dolan, as well as serving as a Dance Captain to Al Blackstone, Scott Jovovich, and Katie Walker. Ady has performed in Steven Blandino's TreadFAST performance Falling Fast + STOIC at Symphony Space Off-Broadway, A Very Broadway Christmas with Broadway On The Bay, and two productions (ERA and Sleeping Beauty Ballet) with the Company, Tampa City Ballet.
Alongside dancing, Ady loves to share her knowledge, skills, and choreography with those around her. Her initiative is to cultivate the innate quality of artistic expression through movement. She has choreographed numerous pieces for studios (groups, duos, solos), taught at workshops/intensives, and taught pop-up masterclasses. She also choreographed a piece for Pace's Emergence Showcase, set that same piece at Steps on Broadway Spring Student Choreography Lab (being 1 of 12 selected), and co-choreographed the play 'Picnic' at Pace University with the BFA Acting Program. Now, she shares her knowledge by inspiring the next generation of dancers as a full-time teacher at Mary Jo's Performing Arts Academy.
Aside from dance, Ady loves to replenish her soul with activities like journaling, reading, running, yoga, being immersed in the arts (plays, musicals, movies, performances, etc.), and trying out new coffee shops.
